We visited Fun Arena Opatov in Prague 4 (Chodov, Bartůňkova Street) to find out what this entertainment center is really like and who it is best suited for. Right from the arrival, we were in for a big surprise – the building looks quite unassuming from the outside, and you might not even guess what is hidden inside. However, the moment we walked through the doors, the experience completely changed, as the interior feels like a whole different world, carefully designed down to the smallest detail and instantly pulling you into the action. We came with a group of twelve children aged 11–13, and their first reaction was unmistakably amazement and excitement.

This article follows our overview piece about Fun Arena, where we describe all activities and options available. This time, we focus on our personal visit and the real experience of the place.

A warm welcome and an atmosphere that ties the whole experience together

Right after our arrival, we were welcomed by a very friendly and energetic guide who led us through the entire program and made sure everything ran smoothly while the children were having fun. His approach was relaxed, humorous, yet highly professional, which gave the whole visit a great atmosphere from start to finish. It was clear that he knew exactly how to work with both groups of children and larger parties, and how to naturally engage them in the activities. Thanks to this, we felt comfortable throughout the entire program, and everything felt very well organized.

An activity that tests the team and entertains everyone

First, we tried human table football, which immediately energized the whole group. The children literally became “live players” and had to cooperate in order to succeed in a game that is well known in its classic tabletop version.

This was followed by a move to the Cyber Arcade, a huge space full of arcade and computer games where everyone could find something to their liking. From racing bikes and football simulators to retro games like Pac-Man and even horror games that brought the most excitement and tension. We spent the longest part of our visit in this area, and it was clear that the children were completely absorbed by the wide range of gaming options available.

Nerf arena as the highlight of the entire visit

The final part was dedicated to the Nerf arena, which was clearly one of the biggest highlights of the entire afternoon. Each participant received their own Nerf blaster and protective goggles, and we then explored two themed arenas – one inspired by Chernobyl and the other set in a post-apocalyptic environment. Both arenas were highly detailed, full of obstacles, hiding spots, and multiple levels, creating an intense gaming environment where teamwork and competitiveness fully came into play. The children enjoyed this part the most, and it was evident that this was the true highlight of the entire visit.

A place that surprises with its level of detail and sophistication

Overall, we were most surprised by the atmosphere of the entire space and how thoughtfully everything is designed and refined down to the smallest detail. The staff was consistently friendly, energetic, and able to naturally engage the children in the activities, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

At first glance, Fun Arena may seem like a place mainly intended for adult events such as team buildings or bachelor parties, but in reality, it is also very well adapted for children.

If you are looking for a program for a children’s party, a sports team, or simply an active afternoon full of movement and fun, Fun Arena is a place that can surprise both children and adults and is definitely worth a visit.
