The Cold War Museum is located in an authentic nuclear bunker beneath the Jalta Hotel on Wenceslas Square in Prague. Originally built secretly during the communist era as an air-raid shelter, it later served as an operational post for the State Security (StB), monitoring hotel guests. Visitors can explore multiple rooms, including the Public Security office, border guard room, listening stations, and communications areas, experiencing the real environment of life and work during the Cold War.
The exhibition is interactive – visitors can try Morse code, historic telephone switchboards, and army equipment. The museum offers educational programs and guided tours suitable for school groups, families with children, and individual visitors. Due to the limited capacity of the bunker, booking a tour at least 5 hours in advance is recommended.
