Winter Filharmoniště brings a beautiful pre-Christmas atmosphere full of Christmas swing and oldies melodies performed by the wonderful singer Kateřina Steinerová and guitarist Tomáš Pecka. Czech and American Christmas hits are enriched with tap dance and swing dance elements that immediately draw children into the experience.
Feel free to bring quiet toys or a small snack for your little ones – the concert is designed to be friendly to the youngest audience and their needs. The performance features a classic St. Nicholas celebration with Hurvínek and Mánička and includes several unexpected moments that are sure to delight the kids. It’s a delightful experience that entertains children while giving parents a chance to relax and enjoy watching their joy.

If you would like to offer your children some fun combined with movement, the Nutcracker Ballet Workshop by Adam Zvonař is a wonderful choice. The story is full of a poetic Christmas atmosphere, evokes partly forgotten traditions, includes classic carols, and features beautiful puppets that bring the tale to life. It’s perfect for children aged 4 to 9 and promises plenty of laughter, magic, and fun.

An ideal program for a relaxed afternoon, when you want to take a break with your children and be immersed in a magical Christmas atmosphere. The cinema hall is filled with comfortable beanbags, and blankets are also available so you can snuggle up while watching the film.
Before entering the cinema through the magical wardrobe, you’ll find various activities for children in the lobby, a photo corner, Christmas decorations, and traditional Christmas markets. There is also a cozy food bar where you can purchase festive treats and drinks. And if you like, you can even write a letter to Baby Jesus on site.

The Christmas Journey through Prague Castle is a popular Advent event that takes visitors through the castle grounds with a variety of festive stops. In the Mocker Houses, children can enjoy arts and crafts workshops, and every Sunday you can attend a Christmas concert at the Golden Gate of the Cathedral.
It’s a wonderful combination of history, tradition, and the magic of Christmas, creating an unforgettable experience that delights both young and old.

Christmas holidays are all about the little ones, which is why Holešovice Market has prepared a variety of activities for children. One of the main attractions is the Christmas quest. At ten different stations, children can learn about old Czech Christmas traditions and customs while having lots of fun. The Advent area also includes an interactive Advent calendar and Baby Jesus’ post office.
Traditional Christmas markets are also part of the experience, featuring dozens of stalls with original and handmade gifts – from designer trinkets to charitable products. You can also enjoy seasonal treats such as mulled wine, hot cider, roasted chestnuts, and other festive delicacies.
For relaxed family moments, every Thursday until Christmas, the market hosts a Mulled Wine & Film event – snuggle under a blanket and enjoy favorite winter films surrounded by twinkling lights and the scent of cinnamon.

Finally, a little tip for parents: take advantage of a moment when the kids are napping in the stroller or spending the afternoon with grandparents and head to LEMARKET. This beautiful design market offers unique Christmas gifts, mostly from Czech creators. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something truly special and want to avoid crowded shopping centers.
This year’s edition takes place in the stunning Mánes Gallery, with views of the Vltava River and a cozy Christmas atmosphere. Children are, of course, also welcome, so you can combine your shopping with a short family visit and gather inspiration for original Christmas gifts.
