Pause & Play is a magical destination for children and parents, located in the heart of Prague at Podskalská 6, Prague 2. This children’s playroom with refreshments and a small cinema offers adventure at every step. Kids can cook in the play kitchen, sell in the café, try climbing frames, a pole, or a ball track, build with Lego or magnetic blocks, dress up as astronauts, princesses, pirates, and many other characters, or relax in the reading corner. In addition to free play, creative workshops and themed afternoons are regularly organized, providing fun ways for children to develop new skills.
The space also features a cozy cinema with a starry sky, where children can watch their favorite fairy tales or dance under the stars. Pause & Play is ideal for children approximately 2 to 8 years old. Babies up to 18 months enter for free and are welcome as companions to older siblings.
Refreshments include hot and cold drinks, sweet pastries, and light snacks for children. The playroom is open to the public Monday to Friday from 12:30 to 19:15, with 90-minute blocks available for reservation. On weekends, private birthday parties or other children’s events usually take place.
Pause & Play also caters to parents’ comfort – strollers can be parked in a secured entrance next to the main door, the space has a changing table and separate toilets for children and adults, and heating up children’s food or milk is easy.
Evening group childcare is also planned, allowing parents to enjoy a quiet dinner at nearby restaurants.
For larger celebrations, Pause & Play offers the option to rent the entire space or just the cinema hall. Maximum capacity is 12–15 children and 10 adults. The team can organize the complete birthday party setup, from decorations and catering to animation programs.
